Halloween/Vex Launch on 30th October
Well, we played Ramsgate Music Hall and there are some great photos (from Phil Wolstenholme and Dik Ng) in the photo section and three sexy new videos (thanks to Dik Ng) in the video section to prove it! The Duke Spirit were excellent and thankfully we were pretty good after all. Thanks if you were one of those who said nice things about us afterwards. It was a pleasure to play there and can't wait to go back some time!
Anyway, time waits for no man and we're on to our next UCA gig which is a bit special as it's our "OFFICIAL" EP release night, although Vex is already available on Bandcamp. But still, it's party time and as it's also Halloween and the birthday of a good friend, we're gonna be kicking off with costumes, drinks, dancing, the lot. Kerry's Boo! Zine will have pride of place on the merch table too.
We're fortunate to be joined by some other great bands on the night too. Sam Slattery (aka Dul Fin Wah) will be guiding us through spooky and eerie tales throughout the night. Wolfgang Riot (aka Driver from Sleep Society) will be making me wish I could play guitar. Tin Foil Astronaut will be psychadelica-ing us to 11 and, after we play all our EP tracks with a couple of bonuses, Invisible Ships will be finishing the bands section of the night in style. Truly worth hanging around for.
Thanks to Trish we never get booted out particularly early so no doubt there will be some of us hanging around messily for a while as Mike or Kerry's mp3 device works its magic in the background.
You should come. In fact, here's the poster.
